Twins for Strokes Guitarist & New Wife
British actress-turned-photographer Amanda de Cadenet and Strokes guitar player Nick Valensi have wed and are expecting twins, PEOPLE has confirmed.
De Cadenet, 34, and Valensi, 25, were married on a beach in the Bahamas during a break from the Strokes' current world tour.
"The two of us went quite alone to Harbour Island in the Bahamas," de Cadenet tells the U.K.'s Hello! magazine. "I'm really pleased it was just me and Nick at our wedding, because I cried the whole time."
The couple, who met five years ago on an MTV shoot, are expecting twins in November. The marriage and children are the first for Valensi. De Cadenet has a daughter, Atlanta, 14, from her previous marriage to Duran Duran's John Taylor.
De Cadenet once co-hosted the British late-night show The Word and had small roles in such films as 1995's Four Rooms and 1999's Brokedown Palace. She is now a photographer for magazines including Vanity Fair, Vogue and Jane. The French-Tunisian Valensi joined the Strokes while still in high school, and is the band's youngest member.

They and the wedding are two entirely separate large events, neither of which was made easier by Nick being away on a world tour. He's probably only spent ten days in New York this last year, so quite how we managed to get pregnant I don't know! "I called my mum, brother and father when I got to Nassau airport and they weren't hugely surprised.

British photographer AMANDA DE CADENET fell in love with her new husband, THE STROKES guitarist NICK VALENSI, the moment they met.
The former TV presenter, whose ex-husband is DURAN DURAN star JOHN TAYLOR, is pregnant with twins to the New York rocker - who she recently wed in a secret ceremony in the Bahamas.
De Cadenet recalls, "A friend was directing a show Nick was doing for MTV. A make-up artist on the shoot had done make up on a shoot with me. I was taking her the prints of my shoot and there he was.
"That was it - straight away. Literally within a split second, something I never really believed before, I knew. I just looked at him and thought: 'If I don't turn and walk, this guy is going to be in my life for a long time.'"
